FAQs
Can I claim from health care insurance/rebates?
No.
How many sessions do I need?
In general I have found clients need between 6 plus sessions to start to see improvement, depending the severity of the problem, how long they have had it etc. As a Holistic Therapist, I believe it is crucial to have regular follow-up therapy sessions. Therapy is not a one-time, quick-fix solution for mental and emotional issues. It is a journey toward healing and self-improvement, and just like any journey, it takes time and effort. It also allows you to discuss any challenges or setbacks you may have faced and explore ways to overcome them.
Do I need weekly sessions?
As a therapist, I often get asked whether weekly therapy sessions are necessary. A weekly session is a great place to start when beginning therapy. Generally, most individuals will start with this frequency, then decrease as needed. A weekly session is ideal for people who want to build skills related to things like mindfulness, coping, and communication. However, it's important to note that the more consistent you are with therapy, the more benefits you're likely to receive. Attending therapy weekly provides an opportunity for consistent support, accountability, and feedback from a trained professional.
How soon will I see results?
When it comes to therapy, it's important to remember that everyone's journey is unique. Therefore, it's difficult to predict exactly when you'll start seeing results. It's essential to discuss your expectations and goals with me to manage expectations while acknowledging and celebrating the small wins along the way.
What can I expect after a therapy session?
It is important to note that every client may experience therapy sessions differently. After a session, clients can expect to experience a range of emotions and physical sensations. Some will feel light and peaceful while others feel heavy with the need to rest. It could feel worse before it gets better and this is a natural part of the healing process.
Do you treat illness?
No, the work I do does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. It is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice and should not be relied on as health or personal advice. Always seek the guidance of your doctor or other qualified health professional with any questions you may have regarding your health or a medical condition.
Do you offer discounts or packages?
As a holistic therapist, I understand that consistent treatment is a critical part of the healing process. That's why I offer discounts for multiple bookings to encourage clients to commit to their wellness journey and reap the benefits of holistic therapy. Additionally, clients who refer a friend or family member to my practice will receive an additional 5% off their next session.
Do you guarantee results?
No. Results vary as each person is unique with a unique set of circumstances. Because we are working with an unknown (you and your reactions) I can’t guarantee anything. I can, however, make you powerful promises about our work together. My role as a therapist is to partner with you in helping you to find solutions to obtaining your goals, identifying problems and methods for solving them. Just like going to gym for one hour a week, you wouldn't expect the gym to guarantee you a slim and trim body.
